Katie's Book List

Here you will find the books that I have read (scroll down) and those I hope to read in the near future.

2013 Books I hope to read:

Books Read in 2013:

A great read that challenges the desires of our heart and how we so easily make idols to worship: family, money, status, etc.

A great check on reality. So many need Jesus (more than just food and water) and yet as an American I am quick to overlook their suffering. This is making us rethink how we spend money.

Another great biographical read by Metaxas on such an inspirational leader in history. One of my favorites. Wish there where more books like this and "Bonhoeffer"

2012 Books
Another great book writing for the encouragement of women in their roles as a wife/mom. Great insight into the biblical texts on womanhood.

The first of 3 books in a series, this is often times a hard book to read. Firstly because it is convicting , and second, because I can't read it fast enough.
"Excellent"book on the duties and attitudes of a wife, or women in general! A must for married women---especially newlyweds. I must confess that I still read it occaisonally.

A very insightful read on the heart behind adoption. Moore, as a father of 2 adopted boys, shares the biblical perspectives of how adoption reveals the gospel

I have been reading this book off and on for a few years now. I am captivated by the story and writing of Hugo. If you have never read it, it is a beautiful story focused on redemption and justice.

Matt and I enjoyed this gem (intended for young boys) about work and godly lessons learned
Wonderful read about a often neglected figure in WWII Germany.
Excellent perspectives on the Worldliness of our age and the greater vision of God's holiness and worth.
